A theme park centered on manga… my dream has come true. Now I just have to get to Japan and live it. J-World is opening the first ever Shonen Jump inspired indoor theme park in Tokyo, Japan.
Scheduled to open on July 11 on the third floor of the World Import Mart building in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district, it will include many interactive attractions based on the most popular manga. Just a few of the manga that inspired these attractions are Gintama, Hunter x Hunter, Toriko, Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece.
They definitely had me in mind when they announced the Dragon Ball attractions. The first one is “Finding the Dragon Balls!” and will allow visitors to search for the elusive balls in a replica town setting. The second, and most exciting, is “Unleashing the Kamehamaha!” This attraction allows you to stand in a “3D recreation chamber” and become saiyan by shooting giant laser beams with your hands. How much better could it get.
They will also have a food court for those of us that have the time to stop and eat.
