We may soon be getting some answers on what the heck that weird Mewtwo lookalike actually is. The Pokemon will be making its official game debut in Pokemon X and Y in October, but a new trailer has revealed that Mewtwo and his doppleganger will appear in a new movie premiering in Japan on July 12.
It hasn't received a US release date yet, but the film's Japanese title loosely translates to ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens. It'll reunite Ash and the gang with Mewtwo as they band together to defeat a group of rampaging Genesect.
Check out the trailer below, which actually shows the Mewtwo to Mew...thing transformation. Hopefully we'll find out more when the film hits Japan in a few weeks.
