The character-action game Bayonetta will be receiving an anime film adaptation from studio Gonzo, and director Fuminori Kizaki of Afro Samurai and Marvel Anime: X-Men fame. The film will premiere in Japan on November 23.

Interestingly, a lot of the production staff have worked either on Marvel Anime: X-Men or Afro Samurai, suggesting that Bayonetta: Bloody Fate may try to appeal to Western audiences. Given that Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U is currently in development, Platinum Games or SEGA may be trying to tied fans over until it’s release.
